What We Do at NLA
This agency is a division of Nappaland Communications Inc., a small media company started back in 1995, and is committed to developing authors whose writing meet the following standards:
Here at Nappaland Literary, we are uninterested in writing that is not real. …
Thanks for your interest in Nappaland Literary.
Please be aware that NLA is not a “general interest” agency. We’ve targeted a few, specific book categories to represent. If you send us anything that’s not in these categories, well, that’s like delivering auto parts to a guy who ordered pizza. It just wastes everybody’s time.
To send a query about a proposal, please use the Contact NLA page on this site.
To send a query regarding any of these services, please use our Contact NLA page.
Queries with these requests will largely go unanswered. Thank you for understanding.

Nappaland Literary Agency began informally in 1995, as a side business of Nappaland Communications Inc. Nappaland Literary has been active in the publishing industry since 1995, and has inked contracts for its authors with many book publishers and imprints, including:
Q: Do I really need an agent to publish books?
A: Our opinion after a few decades in the publishing business? Yes, you need an agent. Sorry about that. You ought to be able to approach any publisher directly with your book ideas and proposals, but that’s just not the way publishing works in the 21st century.

Want to send a note to somebody at Nappaland Literary Agency? There’s good news and bad news:
First, the good news: Yes, you can send us a note. In fact, we’ll likely be happy to hear from you.
And the bad news: Because not everyone is as considerate as you are, we had to disable our general contact email. There was just so … much … spam. And way too many people who were maniacally angry at us for declining to represent their work. So, you know, we finally decided not to subject ourselves to that anymore.
What that means…
Nappaland Literary Agency is an independent creative group dedicated to publishing books that are: Authentic. Relevant. Eternal.
